EXPERTS ONLY: We know - you came for the Champagne of Trails and here it is. Be ready for some big climbing and exposure on this loop. You're likely going to need to plan for 3-4 hours for this ride if you are unfamiliar with the terrain/trails. Climb Kaibab and Yavapai to gain the high point of Slim Shady. Make your way south to the start of Hiline. Hiline starts out with a sustained climb through highly technical rock gardens. The steepness eases off as it begins to traverse rocky, technical terrain with exposure, switchbacks, and some tight squeezes to the highpoint where you are in for some amazing 360 degree views. Drop into one of the best downhill's in Northern Arizona, but be on your toes. The infamous chute is steep and chunky with committal moves and a drop. You'll T into Baldwin, which might be the best part of riding Hiline - we don't know. Rip down Baldwin towards Oak Creek (but be aware, there are lots of hikers and some horses on this trail on weekends). Take a short break at the creek and cool off before you climb Templeton Switchbacks (many riders will walk parts of this section but it only takes about 10 minutes). Hit Easy Breezy for one more bonus DH before you make your way back to the Yavapai Vista parking lot via Easy Breezy, Templeton, and Hermit.
