The Shimano Volcanic Epic, presented by Tineli, is a unique five day mountain bike stage race held across New Zealand’s spectacular North Island geothermal region. If you’re looking for a truly special mountain bike event, the Shimano Volcanic Epic is your ticket to the experience of a lifetime.

The prologue sets the scene for the next four days of racing. ​Meet your fellow riders, get into the swing of riding with the Volcanic Epic and set your seeding for the following day. Once you have checked in you can head straight out on to the course, there is no set start times.

Detailed Description
Volcanic Epic Stage 1 2025 is a 13 mile moderately popular intermediate race route located near Rotorua. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction. This route includes 10 trails. This route climbs 2,742 ft with a max elevation of 2,247 ft then descends -2,740 ft.
