The Shimano Volcanic Epic, presented by Tineli, is a unique five day mountain bike stage race held across New Zealand’s spectacular North Island geothermal region. If you’re looking for a truly special mountain bike event, the Shimano Volcanic Epic is your ticket to the experience of a lifetime.

Stage 2 is a loop format. Based in the same location of the prologue, today riders will take on flowing single track and punchy hills within Whakarewarewa forest, a world-class trail destination.

Detailed Description
Volcanic Epic Stage 2 2025 is a 33 mile popular intermediate race route located near Rotorua. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 16 trails. This route climbs 6,269 ft with a max elevation of 1,931 ft then descends -6,171 ft.
