Just to clarify, wash creek IS open from North Mills River Campground to the Wash Creek Horse Camp, the first lot about 2 miles up, for vehicles. The gate is closed at that point. But you can still park and bike to Spencer/Trace Ridge or up to the parkway and over into Bent Creek.
