High Point

This short ride will hit the flowy parts of West Magnolia. Loop it multiple times or incorporate it into longer rides - either way this will have you grinning from ear to ear.

Start at the trailhead located at the Peak to Peak Highway and Haul Road. As you access the trail, stay left to stay on Aspen Alley. You'll climb .1 a mile and hit the intersection with Re-Root- stay right to stay on Aspen Alley. .4 miles in you'll come to a clear cut opening with amazing views of the Indian Peaks. Stay right to keep on Aspen Alley then get ready for a fun, flowy, bermy descent.

At the bottom of the hill, you'll come to a 4-way intersection. Take a left onto Handshake. This trail isn't very long and will bring you to an intersection with Haul Rd. Cross the road and ride to the parking lot and look for the Observatory trailhead to your right. Take Observatory Trail .4 miles to the intersection with Observatory Rd. Look to your left and hop onto Shortstack. This fun little trail climbs up the hill to another clear cut area with great views. At the bottom on the hill, you'll intersect Observatory Spur Rd - take a right. This jeep road will intersect again with Observatory Rd, look for the Cutacross trail to your left.

Cutacross is one of the more primitive trails on this route, it's a steep, rocky climb but not very long. You'll come to an intersection with the road again, Cross the road and follow the trail to Hobbit 3. Climb Hobbit 3 for about .4 miles and you'll come to a "K" shaped intersection. Make the first hard right to access New 34.

One of the newest trails in the West Mag system, New 34 is fast and flowy with several fun optional features. The largest of these is a rock slab roll to your right about .65 miles in. This trail ends at Lookout, take a left and climb up the hill a short way, then enjoy the ride down. You'll come to an intersection with Observatory Trail, stay left to stay on Lookout. At the bottom of the hill you'll hit the end of Haul Rd. Cross the road and jump on Aspen Alley. At the 4-way intersection with Sugar Magnolia, keep going straight until you reach the 4-way intersection with Handshake. Take a left, then a right on SuperVü. Follow SuperVü back to the trailhead where you started. Repeat as necessary.
