Built by Hoots Inc. in 2011, the park is operated by the Municipality. There is no charge for use of the park.

Funding for the construction of the skills park was provided by Community Futures Crowsnest Pass with contributions from local businesses and individuals.
The trailhead for the Pass Powderkeg mountain biking trail network is located at the southeast end of the skills park.
