DERBY CITY BMX is a bicycle motocross track sactioned by USA BMX, and operates in such a manner as to promote and execute policies and procedures set forth by them. Our Season runs April through October, weathering permitted. During the season, gate practice is held every Wednesday from 6-8pm. Please see our calendar for the complete race schedule. You must have a valid USA BMX license to ride the track during scheduled events. A license may be purchased at registration during any scheduled event.

Derby City BMX will promote the sport of BMX by teaching good sportsmanship and respect, teaching bicycle saftey, maintaining a safe and competitive track and making BMX a family acticity that involves riders, family and friends in a well organized program.

Volunteers are the driving force behind Derby City BMX. If you are interested in becoming a track volunteer, please contact us. Volunteers are ALWAYS needed and appreciated!!

REQUIRED GEAR & CLOTHING

*Any BMX type bike and size will do. We recommend one with a 16" to 20" wheel diameter.

*Bike MUST be free of refelectors/brackets, kickstand, front brakes and pegs

*Full Faced helmet (we have some loaner helmets, first come first serve)

*Long pants or shin/knee pads

*Long Sleeve or elbow pads

*Closed toe shoes

TRACK RULES

*ABSOLUTELY NO RIDING OR WALKING ON THE TRACK WHEN WET!!

*NO STOPPING ON THE TRACK

*NO CUTTING ACROSS THE TRACK

*NO RIDING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION

*NO RC VEHICLES

*MUST PRESENT USA BMX LICENSE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION
