Elings Park BMX has a long history & it is with pride that we keep that history going into the future. Originally established in 1996 by Lisa & Dale Bowers when they moved Santa Barbara BMX from the Earl Warren Showgrounds, this track has produced riders of national & international amateur & professional caliber.

A who’s who list of names from this track are Jarrett Kolich (AA pro), Christopher Burke (AA pro), Kyle & Dale Cushman (AA & A pro), Chantel Blanchett (Women’s pro), Bill Carson (national#1), Melody & Seth Hickman (national #1), Cody Bowers & Nick Castillo (both currently well respected street/freestyle/park riders), Austin Hamilton (A pro) & many other racers.
The track was run by Lisa & Dale until 2007 when it was handed over to Charlene & Chad Cavali to operate, they ran the track until 2009. Andrea & Richard Huvard, who also run Freedom Park BMX in Camarillo, ran the track from 2009 until 2013 when they signed it over to Lia Helfrich & Brian Mohr & they ran & operated the track until 2015.
The track is now under ownership of Elings Park & will be operated by a team of parents/volunteers who are involved in the sport.
The track has undergone many design changes, but the current layout, which was made in 2009, is the best layout for this particular piece of property.
