This is the best thing at the gulch right now, I love it. Been hitting it every Thursday night and I even got myself a dirt jumper. Really has helped me progress. I have gotten up to the 3rd jump on the black line. So happy this has been built, wish I had something like this in Lake Stevens. At least it's close now.
Big bikes, long airtime, cheekbones that hurt from grinning and an explosive mixture of shouts of fear and joy probably best describe the new Mukilteo Garden Bike Park.
Refine your aerial acrobatics with no-handers, whips and scrubs, inspecting the ground a little closer every now and again!
BMX and Dirt Jump Bike enthusiasts can soon gear up for one of the most challenging jump bike courses in Snohomish County. On June 15th at noon, bike fans, city officials, donors, volunteers, and community residents will gather to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the Mukilteo Garden Bike Park which includes a 6,000 sq/ft Pump Track and Four Jump Lines. (Green, Blue, Black and experts only).
The idea started years ago, with a core group of volunteers which fundraised over $16,000 in funds, demonstrating their resolve. Then in 2022, the City Council approved $20,000 of ARPA funds for the course, which is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program.
In April 2023 with ground clearing, followed by course design work, the City of Mukilteo used 300 cubic yards of dirt donated from contractors and worked closely with over 20 diligent volunteers who contributing over 2,000 hours of work to construct the course, create ramps and slopes and install signage.
Mukilteo Community Garden Bike Park is located in Japanese Gulch near the Mukilteo Community Garden off 76th Street SW and 44th Avenue West. For more information, contact the Mukilteo Recreation Department at (425) 263-8180 or email : [email protected].
