I'd rate this as a black, as it's all rideable. Double black is a stretch. Great trail

First 3 miles Blue with some tech - mostly steps. Second half is Black, loads of steep ups/downs and tons of ledges, nice G outs, drops, flow mixed with tight slow tech. The rest of the Deception collective is great too, all the variety you need to sustain a large riding community. Just what the NORTH Austin area needed!

Needs to be changed to just a normal black trail, not double black.. All of it is rideable, minus a few up steps on the more difficult half. Great trail, one of my favorites in the Austin'ish area

I'm a trail runner, not a bike. But I can say that the above descriptions seem pretty accurate. Ledges, very rocky, tight spots, plenty of climbing, lots of foliage, etc. For trail running, this trail is a great workout (and I always step to the side and let the bikes have the right of way).

Very fun and good for beginners trying to build some confidence on drops and even two skinnies. Another good thing about 1/4 Notch is that you can also go out there and shred, most of the bikers on the trail are friendly and understanding aswell. Rate it 9/10
