A perennial favorite DH in the Blue Diamond/Cottonwood area. Not overly technical, with good flow and speed. Preferred direction is Northbound (downhill), though many riders tie in with Badger Pass and ride up to the top of this DH to get the full smile (Dwight Robertson)

The trail has a few wet/muddy spots above Badger. A couple areas are washed out pretty bad from overuse when muddy. I walked my bike around these...

We rode up Cottonwood Pass Road and down 3 Mile Smile. Next time I would probably ride up 3MS and do this as out and back. Been riding this trail since 2003 and for some reason I keep coming back. Oh, I know. It's that good. When you get to the end, ride up Badger Pass and down Techno for ~9 miles of awesome desert singletrack.

Whatever the name of this trail.. it’s got a lot going for it. Fairly manageable to ride up and a flat joy to descend.

out at cottonwood, there must be three names for every trail. I thought Red Valley was the name of the now forgotten trail to the east near Wilson Tank.

Snow still on the upper half of the trail and really muddy the upper 1/4 of it. Should dry out in a couple of weeks, but still a great flow fun trail no matter the conditions!

Recent thunderstorms have lightly washed the trail to pure flowy goodness. Not dusty at all and an all around blast of a ride. A few baby heads to contend with here and there...but that just addsnto the awesomeness of the ride.
