Trail 315 can be accessed from the northeast corner of the Thumb Butte parking area near the Camp Host. It passes through an area of ponderosa pine, alligator juniper and scrub oak. Trail #315 ends at Trail #317.

This is a great trail to string together with others such as Trail 317 - Ridge Top Trail and Trail 316 - Pine Lakes Trail for a short warm-up loop.
