Part of the Prescott Circle Trail, Trail #332 rises and falls over the hilly terrain of Arizona’s central highlands. Exposed slopes of chaparral and pinyon-juniper woodland are interspersed with shady groves of ponderosa pine where a variety of bird calls can be heard ringing out from among the trees. There are nice views of both Thumb Butte and Granite Mountain—Prescott’s most prominent landmarks. This trail is notable because it provides a route between these two features.

This is a very diverse trail as well. Portions follow the railroad bed which provides biking for the entire family while other sections are technical singletrack. Obstacles and challenging short climbs await on the northern side of Iron Springs Rd.

On the north east side of Iron Springs Rd its different. More of a horse trail but without the damage horses make. Less tree cover and straighter lines. Still good trail. Loop in with other trails to add another 45-60 mins.

North of Iron Springs Rd is definitely a different game. Has sections either direction over 10% grade (upwards of 15% in some places). Not technically difficult, just steep in places.
