2.6 kilometers. Aava’s Draw leaves the Antoine Loop just past the junction with Goshawk (if skiing clockwise) and returns to it at the creek crossing. It’s a lovely trail, though steep, and alternates between trees and open views. It also connects to Shortcut, giving access to Hello Kitty.

The name Aava’s Draw came about at an annual ski club meeting. It is club tradition to give the privilege of naming new trails to a person who worked on the trail, and whose name is drawn from a hat. One of our founding members (and a past president) had worked many times on every trail in the park, but had never won the draw. At this meeting, nine-year-old skier Aava pulled out his name, and he in turn named the trail for the act. The draw the trail follows will be forever known as Aava’s.
