Airport road is a dirt/gravel access road that climbs up to Airport Runway atop Cheat Mountain, and is used to access several Snowshoe Backcountry trails including the Airport Ridge Trails, Shadows, Mrs. Cleaver, and Upper and Lower Beaver Dam. Starting at the intersection of Snowshoe Drive and Silver Creek Road (across from Powder Puff) it climbs 280 vertical feet to meet with Airport Runway. This is beginner level climb accessing intermediate and advanced trails.
