The Albert Creek trail starts out as a two-track road but quickly narrows down to singletrack. After a short bit of rocky climbing the trail turns and follows a forested bench. The trail then climbs steadily to the junction with the Albert Petty Tie Trail at times traversing steep open side-hills with views of the Albert Creek valley. After the junction the trail drops steadily through some tight switchbacks to a bridge over Albert Creek. After the creek crossing it's a mile of sustained climbing to the ridge. The trail is smooth and ridable but the grade makes it challenging. The ridge rolls up and down with some mellow sections through open forest. There are more ups than downs and last mile is steep especially after joining the 4WD trail. The trail ends at an open knob where it joins the Petty Mountain Trail and the Grave Creek Growler 4WD road.
