This trail is in Hart Canyon, at the site of a supposed UFO crash from back in the 40's. This is a ten mile one-way loop that takes you in and out of the Juniper trees, and along the slick rock shelves of the canyon. At the Eastern end of the loop is the Alien Monument where you will find a brief history of the site. Terrain variation is what makes this trail great, and will have something for everyone.

Access Info

Headed North on Hwy 550, turn right at MM 164 and stay to the left. Continue down the dirt road until you reach CR 2575, then turn left. At that intersection is a Natural Gas processing station, you can't miss it. Head up to the top of the hill, cross the cattle guard, make an immediate right down the one lane road to the trail head.

Bridge section still wet with snow, otherwise good to go.

Mostly dry, but any all day shade spots equal sticky mud. Most of it is coming down if you are ridding cc.

Dry to slightly moist dirt for the most part. The squeeze through the boulders area is a mix of sand dry snow. Tires didn’t even get that wet....

The freeze thaw cycle is making it slow as loamy. There are patches of snow that are actually rideable. But there is a lot of mud as well. If you...

A fine example of intelligent design in the evolution of trail building. The guys that put in this trail are genius. Fast, roller coaster, flowing fun with plenty of challenges to keep it interesting. Ride it counter clockwise as suggested for the most enjoyment.

Well designed trail and agree CC is the way to ride it. Needs some pruning and some TLC as of 4/25/19.

This trail is out of this world!! It's well designed and lots of fun! The parking area, rest room and changing area are clean and well kept. A very nice touch. Kudos to all involved in developing this area.
