Alp D' Huez is a sweet, short singletrack trail that pops off of and connects back to, Sentinel Pine. Most people descend the trail, using it to finish a ride down Sentinel Pine Trail. Alternatively, it can be a way to avoid some of the initial steep and grueling doubletrack of Sentinel PIne as a climb and provides a longer, smoother and flowier climb to the top of the ridge. Not too technical a climb but when done at speed it'll get the lungs going. Check out the Ladyslippers at the upper junction with Sentinel Pine when they are in season.
