*Aug 6 UPDATE* -- Avalanche Debris Pile on Trail at ~1.5 miles in. Easier to cross now that it has mostly melted.
The ~15-mile Out & Back was completed early October 2018. The first 5 miles is a road to trail conversion and the upper 2.5 miles is new singletrack. Awesome views starting at 4 miles.
The trail was built by a partnership between Evergreen, the USFS and King County. Phase 2 will create a loop but it is still in the planning stages. The plan to connect to the Beckler Peak hiking trail to make a loop is being questioned due to the steep grades. Evergreen has proposed a new route that would be mostly new singletrack and some road-to-trail conversion.
