This is just one segment of the Arizona Trail which is a 700 mile long trail running the length of the state.

The Gabe Zimmerman to Lakes is a popular beginner friendly ride on the outskirts of Tucson. Most start at the Gabe Zimmerman parking lot and ride south from there to whatever point they want to turn around. Is very mellow low climbing grade singletrack and has trail markings along the way.

Access Info

Take Interstate 10 South out of Tucson and get off on exit 281. Hang a left and cross over the highway and once over, instead of merging back onto I-10, hang a RIGHT onto Benson Highway (also called Frontage or Marsh Station Rd). About 3.0 miles in, you’ll swing into the large dirt parking lot on your right, before you cross a bridge over a creek. The parking lot is very well signed and very hard to miss.
