Epic views. But if you're looking for a bug springs type trail, this ain't it. Lots of loose rock most of the way down, which makes it easy to wipe out if you're not careful. Hardly any technical rock features. Trail is quite narrow and exposed to steep slopes in many areas.

As of May 2020 the Apache Peak Section of the AZT has been totally trimmed back and most tread has been touched up.

The AZTA is installing new gates on this section as well.

This is NOT a double black diamond trail.
