While this is a hiking trail, bikes are permitted as long as the wheels DO NOT touch the ground, portaging is mandatory. Bikes must be disassembled and strapped to your back for the hike across the Grand Canyon. The AZT uses the S. Kaibab & N. Kaibab trails to cross from one side to the other.
