A challenging uphill ride, this 3000+ foot climb is used primarily by hikers. For hikers: You can take Roundhouse Lane to access the Roundhouse Restaurant. At this time Roundhouse Connector remains closed due to forest health initiative.
For bikers: Uphill biking is permitted downhill biking is prohibited. Start at River Run Plaza and hike to the BLM Scenic Overlook and back down, or continue the five-mile trek to the top of Bald Mountain, where you can download on the lifts. There are multiple bike loop options via French Connection or the Traverse Trail. Downloading available only during operating hours.
***Starting July 6th, 2021 Bald Mountain Trail will be detoured for your safety due to Forest Health measures. Please follow and adhere to the signage provided.***

       Tough uphill that starts out technical with a few hike-a-bike spots but is much more rideable after .8 miles in.

       I'm sure it is ridable, just not by me.
      Technical down low, loose and exposed middle-to-top, steep the whole way. Hikers and uphill biking only, no biking on the service roads, this means your commitmented with no bail out.

      I'd recommend only to riders who really wish to challenge themselves
