Baldy Trail (Down) Details
Old school trail that gets a LOT of hiker action on the weekends and some weeknights. You can either pedal up the backside via the university research center (not shown) or push straight up it and come back down.
The trail is scree and loose rock at the top, off-camber and rooty most of the way down, with some consequences if you drift off to the right. Totally ridable top to bottom. Over the years, flooding has rerouted the lower sections of the trail a few times, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
If riding this as an out-and-back, park at the Porcupine Group Campground lot just off Hwy 40.
