Fun challenging trail, not for beginners. Trail is pretty good untill after the green gate, then it has lots of catclaws. I cut back plenty but still needs some more work. Easy to loose the trail due to the cow paths so be aware and look ahead for karens. Stop at the delapated rock cabin then head back. Not worth ridding north of the cabin, it's all dirt road.

Nah. It has potential, but it needs a lot of work to make it a decent mtb trail. Cat claw and thistle are tall enough to be troublesome, and there are a lot of loose rocks that want to send your wheels sideways. There's no real payoff for all the work you do. It's probably a fine horse trail tho.

Northern end of this segment has 4.5 miles of singletrack now between Russian Well and Orme Rd. This segment should start seeing more traffic as the BCT gets extended north. As of March 2022, there are another 7.5 miles of singletrack north of Orme Rd. to the junction with the General Crook Trail.
