Going up, it is is an easy climb, and even boring. But when you come down you will find out why the locals love this trail so much. Speed and fun factor are HIGH. There is a tiny, gnarly trail, Bear Creek Trail 136, at the very top of Bear Creek Spur, but it isn't necessarily worth the yawner climb up the gravel road.
