This paved multi-use trail generally follows Bear Creek through the cities of Central Point, Medford, Phoenix, Talent, and Ashland. It passes through eight parks along its course. There is some nice creekside scenery along the way.

Benches located along the trail offer a place to sit and relax. A trailside gazebo near the north end of the path offers a sheltered viewpoint or picnic spot. Walkers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters and wheelchair users all may be sharing this path.

Local wildlife abounds and sharp eyed visitors may catch a glimpse of someone attempting to toss a shopping cart into the creek or even a carefully hidden campsite
