Bear Scat is an interesting trail that is a bit like two different trails in one, which is why I've decided to split it into two trails, Bear Scat North (this section) and Bear Scat South. Coming from Pinion, the Bear Scat climb is nigh impossible, even for a veteran rider or pro. The grade is simply too steep in many places, and a few of those spots even have some serious technical moves that must be made in addition to powering up the grade itself. I've heard tell of people cleaning the various sections, but have never seen it done. Coming the other way, you'll head down the super steep technicality, which is enough to shrink your... courage... quite a bit.

Great hard Enduro\Trials trail for dirt bikes. I'd only recommend to seasoned riders with lighter bikes or take the B-Line, the gully toward the top has a couple killer spots. Even the bottom is rough with small ledges. Good trials riders can hit some excellent lines.
