This is an extension of the Belmont Trail. The upper part of this trail, from Belmont Road to Nacho interchange, is a notoriously wet an muddy part of the park. This area should be avoided after rains, and will remain wet / muddy much longer than the rest of the park. This trail is used in both directions, and follows a rain gulley to a multiple trail crossings. It has numerous sections where there are washed out roots, and and can catch some by surprise. Expect the stream crossings to be pretty deep after rains also. This trail is not maintained by DNR, as it is not in state park property, but is in the Rockburn Trust, a private property trust stating this area is to not be used for anything but wooded lots. Tread lightly through here, as these trails were not sustainably built, and maintenance is minimal due to the trust.
