The South end of Bicentennial starts across the street from the DPW at 22 Dodge Road. There is no parking at this location. The trail runs south to north, roughly parallel to Dodge Road. It travels well in both directions, but rides best south to north. It starts off downhill on an old double track, crosses a road at the bottom, and starts a gradual climb on single track. At .6 it climbs sharply up an esker before dropping down to the kiosk at Dacquino Forest, where the trail nears a pullout on Dodge Road. Here the trail turns right on an old double track. After a gentle climb, at 1 mile the trail turns left off the double track at 90 degrees, pay attention to the blazes here. It begins a steep, rocky climb up to a gravel cell tower road over an easement on private property. Stay on the trail. At 1.2 miles the trail crosses the cell tower road continuing north. The trail splits just after you enter the woods. To the left, the trail follows the edge a steep cliff and shortly rejoins the main trail. Those afraid of exposure should stay right/straight. The trail then drops down 2 steep sections before turning west onto an old woods road. The trail turns north onto single track and climbs an esker to a bench at 1.5 miles, overlooking a vernal pool below. It proceeds north down the esker to a bridge over Betty's Brook, and ends up at Austin Road. Adventurous souls can cross Austin and continue on the northern section of Bicentennial into Betty Arnold Forest.
