Named after Bill Annese who worked for Mass. DEM and led the fight to save the Douglas Forest from becoming a regional landfill in the 1990’s. The trail is double wide and rolls through the woods. A couple of rock patches but no major difficulties.

There is a small parking lot on Rt 16. Head east to connect to the Mid State.
