The name Black Dragon acknowledges the Chinese miners who made a home in Derby in times gone by. Perched on the rocky slopes above Devilwolf, Black Dragon is a black diamond trail for experienced riders. Constructed by hand, it features a climb, and descent and is highly technical, with rock slabs, steep pinches and agressive drops. It also links to Dam Busters, offering an alternative descent for riders coming down Dam Busters.

A killer climb, and a deadly descent

Very tough tight climb, great slabs of rock and boulders to launch off on the way down. Need to do it a few times to get lines right and know features.

Such a sick trail. I normally hike some of the climb but it’s so worth it. Slower more technical in section and opens up in others!!
