This is the third trail in the three-part series of progressive skill building trails on the Erie Sunset East property. Now that you've mastered the green and blue line, it's time to apply those pumping and cornering skills to bigger features. This trail adds two more elements of skill: jumping and dropping.

This is the most challenging line in this area. There are no "do or die" type jumps and everything is rideable without leaving the ground. There are a couple of spots you will have to pedal up hill. The lips on the jumps are pretty smooth and the landings are nice roll outs. Great place to practice your air time.

Incredibly well done first section! The dirt is also superb. Its got a bounce to it like a wrestling mat, so it wouldn't be bad at all to fall. Its very grippy and tacky and not sandy at all like the rough/hard sand at Valmont. Its spongy, so its slightly slow, but the flow is spot on for the first part of the course so that doesn't matter. The second part of the course is a bit weird. Its very high speed if you actually want to double anything but then there is a drop off that you have to take really slow, else you will miss the berm catcher afterwards by shooting over it into a dangerous gully. This place is a gem for me on my way home from work in Brighton back to Boulder Canyon. Its more convenient than Valmont for similarly good riding - it also has way more potential due to its natural slope and unlimited high quality dirt. It would be amazing to see people work together to build more lines and options that would be equal in difficulty to the black line here.
