This fast decent is a real highlight of the Bone Trail and is affectionately known as Geelslang (Cape Cobra). This trail was built by Deon Wilkins (along with the rest of the Bone Trail) and carries the rider through the more indigenous fynbos. With tight turns and loose dry conditions in Summer, the rider is rewarded with flowy single track and pedalling will give you the edge if chasing that elusive strava segment (Bone Trail 2). Watch out for the rollers at the bottom towards the dam and from there you have options for another single track climb over to La Bruyere or to take yourself home via Schalkenbosch and Bone Trail 3 (please note Bone Trail 3 trail may not exist in its current form after Cape Epic 2021).
