The Border Patrol trail is Bi-directional, but has difficult climbs in both directions. Most commonly ridden as shown from the Jay Bitch trail at an intersection not easy to see except that it a Tree House Julius can wrapping a tree marks the intersection. In this direction, it is a gradual climb on to a ridge where the climb steepens, then after a short rest, a super challenging climb up a chute which is makeable in most conditions. Once on the ridge and back on aerobic air supply, it is a pleasant trail with nice views. The trail drops down to the Upper Graveyard trail.

The trail continuously skirts private land, often within inches but is all on state forest land - hence the name Border Patrol.

This trail is unsanctioned.
