This awesome trail starts in Germany and ends in Austria. You will cross the border a few times during your ride.
The trail is located to Trailforks-Germany because of the trail-start and because of the generally bad legal situation of mountain-biking in Austria.

Everything on natural ground. On the first part of the trail you have to do a short climb, but then you can find a really nice single-trail with some steeper sections, sections with roots, sections with stones and rocks. This trail has it all. You always ride on the ridge of Mount Götschen and Gutrathberg. The last part (when you move from the ridge to the austrian side of the mountain) is partly very narrow, exposed and slippery when wet. Especially in autumn as there is rarely sunshine because of the local topography.

No switch-backs, but experience on natural trails and technical skills are necessary (S1 - S2). Last (exposed) part: S2.
In general not that technical, but still demanding – and also fun.

Please note for the austrian side of the trail: in general mountain-biking is everywhere illegal in Austria. Only official trails (most of them you can find in bike-parks) are allowed.
German side: There is no problem.

Keep in mind that hikers use this way too.
Hikers have priority. Be nice, friendy and respectful. Ride with care.
