The trail climbs up through aspen up to Bear Trap Pass. At Bear Trap Pass you could turn around or you could switch to Ridge Trail, Bench trail or make the descent down the backside into the main part of settlement canyon. The trail is popular with horses and it is used for grazing cattle.
