Boulders:Blue graded Boulders is one of the few bi-directional single track trails and is suitable for intermediate riders. This mostly flat and tech rock filled trail is brimming with tricky corners, the odd rock roll and a few avoidable drops, depending on the direction you take. The Boulders Climb starts on the Level 3 Jeep Track as it hits the inter connector section to Level 4 Jeep Track. Look out for the trail entrance on your left as you ascend. The track starts from this side with a climb that presents an optional easy route to the left or straight into a technical climb and corner. Take this harder option and improve your skills. From this high point the track descends for a short distance and presents two rock drop offs for the confident riders. Watch out for riders approaching on your left from the easy option or descending riders approaching from ahead here.

The track is easy to follow and while there are a few sandy flow corners just after the start climb, things turn rocky soon after. If you are looking for flow don't look here, rather expect a trail to improve your skills or at the least expose the weaknesses in your arsenal. Proper rock gardens and a wooden bridge with a rock roll down a boulder. At around ⅔ distance, the track crosses the DH1 trail, so watch out for fast descending riders here.
The rocks don't let up until around half way where you can expect a bit more climbing and some rocks including a granite boulder that provides a fun alternative to the trail next to it. The final corner used to be a root filled challenge but is now far easier both up and down. You will top out on the Level 4 Jeep Track.
Riding Boulders as a descent provides a fun alternative to upper snake trail Mamba. Despite the low gradient, it's easy to maintain speed and the rock gardens feel easier when gravity is on your side.Be aware of ascending riders and riders hitting the drop offs near the end.

Access Info

The Boulders climb trail head lies at the Level 3 Jeep Track junction with the inter connector section to Level 4. To access the Boulders descent trail head, either climb Boulders or take the Level 4 Jeep Track to the start.
