Begin this hike in an old clearcut on the Damfino Lakes Trail #625 and quickly enter mature forest. You will encounter a junction 0.7 miles with Canyon Ridge Trail #689 turn left and follow Canyon Ridge Trail 0.5 mile to the junction with Boundary Way Trail #688. Stay right at the junction. The Boundary Way Trail meanders through boggy meadows, then along a forested hillside. More meadows alternate with forest as the trail follows a ridgeline toward the Canadian Border. Wildflowers fill the meadows in the summer. Blueberries and mountain ash set the hillsides ablaze in the fall. On a clear day, experience mountain views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Shuksan and Canadian peaks too numerous to name. Boundary Way is a primitive trail and receives only limited maintenance.
