Instead of doing the Breakover Loop to the lookout you can stay left and take the trail down to the Bulkley River. The hike back is a bit of a bit of a steep climb of approximately 100 metres elevation gain. As of May 2, 2021 the trail is clear until the end of the trail where you will find two fallen trees. The first you can climb over and the second you will need to duck under. After ducking under the second tree you will find a set of green stairs to your right. Take these stairs to the Bulkey River where you can take a left and enjoy the view from the rocks or you can take a right and go down more stairs where you will come to a rocky beach or river water depending on the time of year.

This trail is unsanctioned.
