It looks like Kaugust is a park ranger at red rock canyon. Let's try to work with her and get these mountain bike trails "legal".

Moenkopi Rd to Bears Best: Starts flat then some nice rolling terrain, although I did not have time to ride all of it. Would be a good beginner trail with a few challenges thrown in, primarily the climbing.

Who the F is gonna fine you? Unless LE posts a "no mechanical transportation" sign, then none is gonna do shit. If you wanna only ride legit trails, install mtb project.

Why is this trail, and other trails like Goat Roper, not legal? Are they on private property? The Moenkopi Road trails seem well established and I see runners & hikers all of the time, so why mtb's be excluded? I visit the area often and have been looking for trails close to Summerlin,so I thought these would be perfect. I like the Blue Diamond trails, but prefer not to drive. And Cowboy Trails seem to have a lot of DH (with the requisite uphill to access the DH) that is a little beyond my skill level.
      Thanks

Great for a summer night ride! It’s illegal because it curves around a shooting range on 159, the last thing those guys want is to have an accident.
