This is pretty much a double track that allows USFS to combat first and access some water reclamation. It mostly goes up and is a pretty tame walk, although there are some steep and loose ups and downs. This section of trail is bike legal. It doesn't look like the best bike trail, mostly like riding an ATV trail (but not legal for ATV).

The trail does offer some nice views of Moon Lake after it turns back towards the lake right before the Wilderness Area. You cannot take your bike past the wilderness signs.
