Brushy Hollow is a highlight at Douthat. It's best to ride from the intersection with Mountain Top and Beard's Gap to enjoy and long and exciting downhill.
It is blazed in Orange
From Mountain Top you'll climb gradually over a short distance. Stop to enjoy the viewpoint looking east into George Washington National Forest. From there finish the climb and get ready for an awesome downhill.
The trail is fast and fun but has many switchbacks. Be aware of your speed going into turns. Nearing the bottom of the valley, you’ll encounter eight rock-armored wet crossings before reaching the swing bridge over Wilson Creek. Bounce your way across the bridge or take your chances through the creek and then roll out to Douthat Road.

I rode up this to go down Beards Gap. Just a boring ass climb session with some decent views and some tight switchbacks.

Up Beards Gap, down Brushy Hollow. Overgrown weeds in places, hence the Brushy I guess. Nice hard ride, 92*, 36* humidity dry trail.
