Rode this several times now and seems to dead end as you climb up the bench heading south and begin to enter the mouth of Baer canyon. You can painfully bushwhack your way down to the creek and onto the canyon trail to continue your southbound progress in the bst, otherwise you have to go down the bench and through an orchard with possible trespassing so be careful. Sucks this part of the trail is cut off

This is a nice section of the BST that is mostly singletrack and not nearly as crowded as the Layton section directly to the north.

However, be advised that a half mile section of the trail is directly above the Wasatch Shooters gun range. The trail is at least 100 feet above the facility, but the trail is down range and a stray round is always possible. There are warning signs on both the north and south end of the section that show when you enter the vicinity of the range.

I personally don't ride this section when the range is open, but use your best judgment. Here are the hours of the range if you want avoid live fire:

      Summer Hours (Starts April 21):
Tue: 5 PM to 9 PM
Fri: 9 AM to 9 PM
Sat: 9 AM to 5 PM
Sun: 11 AM to 4 PM
      Closed Mon, Wed, Thur, Holidays

      Winter Hours (Starts October 21)
Fri: 9 AM to 5 PM
Sat: 9 AM to 5 PM
Sun: 11 AM to 4 PM
Closed Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Holidays

Thanks for the heads up on the gun range and the hours of the range. Very helpful info!
