This trail was built mid- 2020 and provides a less heinous uphill alternative to the standard climb out of City Creek to I-street.
Overall it's not as steep as the old trail but a couple of the switchbacks require some powering through are they are loose and/or very tight. Trail surface should improve with traffic, the lower portion is quite sandy and loose. Some of the shady sections turn into full-on black ice in the winter.
Uphill bike traffic only.
