Burn Pile Trail was reworked by Salida Mountain Trails in April 2016. This new route follows the old route closely but with a much improved tread. Locals are calling this a fun trail with lots of "flow". This trail is non-motorized multi-use. The primary reason for this redesign was to alleviate pressure and some downhill bike use on Frontside Trail, hoping to make Frontside Trail a more enjoyable for hikers, runners and families.

Primarily a downhill trail. Please be aware of all user types using this trail in any direction.
