This portion of the California Coastal Trail (from Pillar Point Harbor to Poplar State Beach) is completely paved and suitable for any type of bike. Keep your eyes open for fun, dirty side tracks that provide alternate routes; some skirting the edge of the coastal bluff... But more importantly, keep your eyes peeled for the wide variety of trail users that come in all makes, models, and ages. Nice connector between the main dirt trail sites in the area. ***DETOUR: Bridge in Miramar is currently closed, with safe passage along a short stretch of Hwy 1
