Off the radar backcountry ride that starts from a nice developed campground. Gorgeous canyon right off the bat if you're climbing from the bottom, some exposure. This lower part is worth it as short out-and-back, or climb the whole thing. A killer point to point ride with a shuttle starts at Red Canyon, then Red-Cub, then descend Cabin Creek. Or try Kirkwood to Cabin. Or Cabin to Kirkwood. The highway ride between Kirkwood and Cabin is great, a nice wide shoulder and a swim in the lake. Beverages and ice cream are available at the Kirkwood gas station, and there's a breakfast place across the highway from the campground.
