Cat Scratch Fever is a short downhill trail starting from half way up Rick's Roost and ending at the top of Alpine Meadows. At the trail head there are two starting points both of which join up again half way down. The gps file is starting from the right hand trail.

The trail is a short downhill blast all on single track, it's fast and flowy with some nice root and rock sections thrown in too. The last section of trail takes you across a couple of fire roads, around some buildings and down some loose gravel turns. The last section isn't always abvious so you may have to look around.

It's a great starter trail for people wanting a bit more of a challenge but without going crazy.

For a longer run you can link straight into the expert trail Mandatory Suicide and on into Mel's Dilema before finishing on Alta Lake Road.

Access Info

Access to the trail head can be reached by either riding up Rick's Roost (located at the top of Alpine Way) or down off the flank trail.
