Caterpillars is one of Cairns' most well known descent trails, part of the UCI World Cup XC. The trail begins with 'Jacob's Ladder' a series of tight switchbacks then multiple descent options to roll into the next section of trail which consists of fast corners, rollers, jumps and gap jumps. There are alternate lines for each of the gap jumps.
